You don’t share the campus with anyone
Most Indiana retreat centers book several groups into the same weekend. You share the dining hall, you share the meeting space, and you plan around a schedule someone else set.
Walnut Ridge books one group at a time. When your men arrive Friday evening, the 65 acres belong to your church for the weekend. Start a session at 11pm because the conversation went somewhere real. Move breakfast back an hour. Take the whole group to the fire pit and stay there. Nothing on the property is competing for your attention.
For men’s ministry specifically, that matters more than it does for most groups. The weekend usually turns on one unplanned conversation, and unplanned conversations need room and time that a shared facility can’t give you.

Paintball

On-site range for archery and target shooting, supervised and set up for groups rotating through in shifts.
Walnut Ridge Lake
Fishing, early-morning quiet, and a natural gathering point. Bring your own gear; the lake sits at the center of the property.

Where most men’s retreats end up on Saturday night. Open sky, no neighbors, and no reason to be anywhere else.
Giant slide & activity field
Open field for team competitions, plus the giant slide — which grown men have never once declined to try.
Lodge game room
Indoor space for the hours between sessions, and the rainy-Saturday backup plan that keeps a weekend from stalling out.

How many men can Walnut Ridge accommodate?
Walnut Ridge sleeps up to [[CONFIRM: 140]] guests across eight dorm spaces in the Lodge, Willow Hall, and the Mission Center. Men’s groups of 20 and men’s groups of 130 both work here — you get the full campus either way.
What does a men’s retreat weekend cost?

How far is Walnut Ridge from Indianapolis?
About one hour. Walnut Ridge is at 4500 Bear Creek Church Rd in Morgantown, Indiana — roughly 60 miles south of downtown Indianapolis, and within easy reach of Bloomington, Columbus, Greenwood, and Brown County.
Will another group be on the property at the same time?
No. Walnut Ridge books one group per weekend. Your men’s group has exclusive use of all 65 acres, all lodging, all meeting space, and every activity area.
Are meals provided, or do we cook?

Are there private rooms, or only dorms?

Do you provide the retreat program or speaker?
No — you bring your own teaching, worship, and schedule. Walnut Ridge provides the facility, the meeting space with sound and screens, and the activities. The weekend is yours to shape.
What should men bring?
Bedding or sleeping bag, pillow, towels, toiletries, a Bible and notebook, closed-toe shoes for the field and range, layers for evenings outdoors, and fishing gear if you want the lake. [[CONFIRM: linens provided or not]]
How far in advance should we book?
Fall and early spring weekends are the busiest for men’s retreats and are usually claimed six to twelve months out. Have two or three date options ready when you reach out.
Is Walnut Ridge a Christian retreat center?
Yes. Walnut Ridge Retreat Center is a Christian camp and retreat facility and a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association (CCCA). It has operated as a retreat property since 1940 and under current ownership since 2017.
